1. Provider and scope

These terms apply to the use of the Q-Tel app, to Q-Points and to the purchase of custom Q numbers via this website. Deviating terms of the customer do not apply.

2. Q-Tel and the Q-ID

When Q-Tel is set up, your device generates its own keys; Q-Tel assigns you a random 9-digit Q-ID free of charge. The Q-ID is an alias for your account. It is not a phone number, does not allow calls into the public telephone network and is not proof of identity.

3. Custom Q numbers

• A custom Q number is a special Q-ID (e.g. 123 123 123) that we permanently assign to your account for a fee, for as long as your account exists.
• Upon assignment, the custom number replaces your previous Q-ID. The previous Q-ID is permanently retired and never reassigned. Chats, contacts and keys are kept.
• The custom number is not transferable, not saleable and not an investment. There is no entitlement to a particular number until it has been assigned.
• If your account is deleted, the custom number is also retired; no refund is given in that case.
• Signature numbers (e.g. 111 111 111, 123 456 789) are not freely for sale; allocation and price on request only.

4. Conclusion of the contract

1. You choose an available number on this website; it is reserved for 10 minutes.
2. In the Q-Tel app you confirm with Face ID or fingerprint that the number is to be linked to your account. You see the number, your previous Q-ID and the final price.
3. On this website you accept these terms and the information on the right of withdrawal and click "Pay … now". This constitutes a binding offer.
4. The contract is concluded upon successful payment. The assignment takes place automatically immediately afterwards.

You receive the payment receipt from the payment service provider Stripe by email at the address you entered there. We do not store the contract text separately; these terms are available here at any time.

5. Prices and payment

All prices are final prices including statutory VAT. Payment is made via Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Ireland) by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Discounts from Q-Points tiers are calculated when linking in the app and shown in the final price.

6. Right of withdrawal

Consumers have a right of withdrawal. Details, including on its early expiry, can be found in the withdrawal information.

7. Q-Points

• You receive Q-Points for confirmed invitations of new users according to the rules shown in the app. There are no points for messages or calls.
• Q-Points have no monetary value, cannot be paid out, are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for money. They determine a tier that allows discounts on custom numbers.
• In case of abuse (e.g. artificially created accounts), points can be cancelled within 90 days. We may change or end the programme with effect for the future; prices already confirmed remain unaffected.

8. Users' obligations

Q-Tel must not be used for unlawful purposes. In case of serious violations we may block an account. A purchased custom number is not refunded in that case, provided the block is justified.

9. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and under the German Product Liability Act. In the case of slightly negligent breach of essential contractual obligations, liability is limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded.

10. Final provisions

German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you have your habitual residence remain unaffected. We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
